From May 2022-2025, ICC Future Tours & Programmes (FTP) will feature 65 international matches featuring India’s women’s cricket team as part of an unprecedented three-year cycle from May to April.
ICC has issued a structured calendar encompassing 301 matches (seven Tests, 135 ODIs, and 159 T20Is) over three years for India to play under their Foreign Tournament Partnership agreement (FTP). India will participate in two Tests against England and Australia respectively as well as 27 ODIs and 36 T20Is during this time; three WODIs and three WT20Is against Sri Lanka since FTP began on May 15, 2022 have already taken place.
India will reciprocate when they visit Australia again between 2025-26 (again for three Test matches, three ODIs, and three Twenty20Is).
There will be 301 total matches scheduled during 2025 (seven Tests, 135 ODIs and 159 T20Is), along with two global tournaments hosted by ICC: T20 World Cups and an ODI World Cup (with T20World Cup being hosted twice every four years).
According to ICC, women’s international teams will play bilateral ODIs before participating in the 2025 World Cup. Wasim Khan noted that all T20I matches help determine which teams qualify for future ICC events; T20I matches play an integral part of women’s cricket and mark “an historic moment for cricket,” he stated in his statement.
